Day 1. Meeting Kamchatka

Arrival at Yelizovo Airport.
Optional transfer to a hotel in either Paratunka or Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
For morning arrivals, we will head to Khalaktyrsky Beach, where the Pacific Ocean meets the black volcanic sand.
Excursions to the Vulcanarium or the Salmon Museum.
The evening features a seafood dinner and your introduction to local Kamchatka cuisine (dinner not included in the tour price).
Overnight at the hotel..

Day 2. Road Trip to Tolbachik

After breakfast we depart for the Kozyrevsk village.
This is a long but essential journey: about 500 km through the heart of central Kamchatka.
Along the way we will stop for lunch in Milkovo and have a chance to visit the Kamchatka Falcon Center, a specialized facility dedicated to protecting and conserving rare birds of prey.
Arrival in Kozyrevsk and check-in at the "Tolbachik" hotel.
Dinner and free time to rest.

Day 3. Winter Tolbachik — Extraterrestrial Landscapes

This is the key day of our journey.
After breakfast we will take a ride on ATVs to the base of the Tolbachik Volcano.
You will see:

The Dead Forest
Lava fields
The 1975 Northern Vent Eruption site
Recent lava flows

Picnic lunch on the trail: hot tea and a light snack.
Return to the hotel, dinner and rest.

Day 4. Valley of the Giants — A Day of Silence and Observation

After breakfast we will take a trip to the Valley of the Giants, a volcanic formation among lava fields.
This is a day of calm and contemplation, when there is no need to rush.
A snack on the route, return to the village, free time.

Day 5. Esso — The Heart of Kamchatka

Transfer to Esso village.
Optional:

A visit to the ethnographic museum and introduction to the Even culture
Dog sledding
Bathing in the open-air thermal pool

Dinner at a local cafe.
Return to Kozyrevsk..

Day 6. Ice Fishing

After breakfast we will head to the Kamchatka River.
You will try ice fishing under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
If we are lucky, we will prepare fish soup (ukha) on the ice, made from freshly caught fish.
This is a day of simple pleasures, silence and true enjoyment of the process.

Day 7. Return

Breakfast and transfer back to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or Paratunka.
Hotel check-in, free time.

Day 8. Farewell to Kamchatka

Breakfast and transfer to Yelizovo Airport.
Flight home.

The winter tour to Kamchatka from The Star of Kamchatka is a route to the Tolbachik volcano on snowmobiles across the frozen lava fields.
